KEEPING THEM LOVING SWIMMING

Despite your kids’ love of swimming, as they’re growing up issues and sticking points can often surface. This is especially the case as they go through puberty and beyond.

Beyond the Black Line is a program that has been proven to make life at this critical development stage easier for everyone concerned. It gives you the chance to share with your kids, online, the life experiences of swimmers who’ve already been there. They also have the chance to attend a workshop run by a past or present Australian Dolphin member.

Come race time, there are certain ‘fuels’ that can also help performance. If their goal is serious competition, first talk to an accredited sports dietitian or a doctor.

How do young swimmers balance school and swimming? Even when they have that sorted, it can still be tough finding time for mates who aren’t swimmers. That’s where balance comes in. Sharing other events and sports with friends is a great way to relax and open their minds to future possibilities. After all, even a gold medal is not a gold pass to success in the years ahead.
